Will & Teddy

Will & Teddy explores the friendship of two presidents: Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. In the beginning, they share common thinking and forms of dependency. Taft is shaped by his wife, Nell, from a small town Ohio judge into a president. Pressured by both his wife and his friend Teddy, a man who is very much the opposite of his friend in energy, size and drive, Taft struggles to find his own road on the presidential path. In bed, dreams are exchanged, aspirations are played out, and sleepwalking creates opportunities to travel through memory to places otherwise forbidden in waking moments. Will & Teddy is a meditation on friendship: its glories and failures, its light and darkness.
